Yoga is Connection – Learn about the roots of yoga and how it relates to personal and communal growth. Change within and without – it’s all connected.

Six Conversations – Community-building exchanges that are pointedly designed to bring the spirit of yoga off the mat and into relationships. Conversation themes include: Invitation, Possibility, Ownership, Dissent, Commitment, and Gifts.

Slow Down – No more glorification of “being busy.” Engage in practices to slow down and calm your body as resistance to the fast-paced, competitive, take at the expense of others mentality.

Gifts and Passions – Connect with your authentic self.  Identify your gifts and passions with accountability to bring them into the world.

Holistic Approaches to Yoga Teacher Training

Embodied Pathways

This training explores yoga on and off the mat through four integrative lenses—Off the Mat Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Social Justice Yoga, and Holistic Yoga Practices—to awaken individual and collective liberation. It’s a journey toward a more authentic yoga experience that builds resilience, empathy, and connection.

A means of engagement designed to:

  • Build a stronger mind-body connection through trauma informed yoga that centers authenticity, compassion, and trust.

  • Address systemic oppression and promote collective healing through the lens of yoga and its connection to social justice yoga.

  • Create balance, self-awareness, and harmony with holistic yoga practices that unite mind, body, and spirit.

  • Apply yogic principles off the mat—turning presence into action and mindfulness into daily life through the Eight Limbs of Yoga.

Together, these pathways weave a complete picture of what it means to practice and live Yoga for the Common Good: connection before content, awareness over achievement, and transformation that extends far beyond the mat.

Guided by the principles of compassion, justice, integration, and presence.

Off The Mat Yoga

Apply yogic principles and awareness to daily life outside of a formal yoga-posture based class.

Trauma Informed Yoga

Yoga is and always has been a holistic and healing practice when offered in its fullness and with consideration of the Eight Limbs. It is a path to deepen and change your relationship to all aspects of your self.

Social Justice Yoga

Address systemic oppression, promote healing, and foster personal and collective liberation.

Holistic Yoga Practices

Build a stronger mind-body-heart connection through authenticity and yoga beyond the postures. Create a sense of harmony through meditation and mindful living.

Yoga for The Common Good Workshop

Live Workshop

This workshop explores yoga on and off the mat to activate the common good.  It gives an overview of the “common good” work of bringing together the individual and collective practices of yoga to awaken liberation for all.  Create a more holistic experience in your yoga practice by moving it off your mat and into your relationships, community, and the world.

A means of engagement designed to:

  • Make connection and relationship to yourself and others the point; connection before content.
  • Let go of your story, and create space for freedom.
  • Gain personal autonomy and acknowledge interdependence.
  • Move from conversations of:
    • being helpful to curiosity,
    • problem-solving to possibility,
    • barter to promises with no expectation of return,
    • blame to choosing accountability,
    • deficiencies to gifts, and
    • retribution to restoration.
